Fill my soup pot!!
Hubby is having dental surgery on Thursday (Aprox. Step # 320 out of 682 steps for his implant – :D) and we need more soup ideas.
on our list
*Vichyssoise
*Market Pantry Roasted Red Pepper
*Tomato Basil (taste EXACTLY like LaMadeline … SO SO Good)
so what other ideas do you have for soups that can be pureed and still taste good?

If your husband likes frijoles, you can make a pot of beans using Ana Darcy’s recipe (www.anadarcy.blogspot.com), puree them with added milk, and you’ll have a zesty, creamy soup. Add a little grated cheese and toss in some tostado fragments and yum!
Other ideas: check Fiesta Mart or other grocery store with lots of imported foods. Look for Campbell’s Soups from Mexico. Try the crema de flor de calabaza (pumpkin flower soup), crema de lentejas (cream of lentil soup), or crema de chile poblana soup.
These are all delicious, no lie. They are totally unlike American Campbell’s soups and they will restore your faith in canned soups.
Best wishes!

Split pea is my favorite, I think it would be easy and even pureed would be delish. 🙂
