Charlie did his first tandem jump over a decade ago, at Skydive San Marcos.
He finally has the chance to go again, this time for his AFF and he has chosen Skydive Temple, because it’s a closer school to us.
Here is the video. He had to use equipment to upload it from the original VHS and the quality is kinda poor, but that’s old technology for you, right!?
Did I mention that our VCR was stored in a closet because we never used it? Parental instinct reminded us that it may or may not have also contained food; all VCRs end up with food in them, right!? Ours seemed to like bologna and cheese. I guess that’s better than PB&J.

I’ve tried patachuting about 15 years ago after just 2 hours of training and it wasn’t tandem… The wind was bit to strong so I was lucky to land within the airport. Funny thing that the communication device we used worked fine on the ground but not in the air.
Now it’s more civilized out there in Europe but trauma is still in my head 🙂
Good luck Charlie!
