Dear Readers,
Today is supposed to be a letter to you. I assume a letter to thank you or to welcome you.
There has been quite a bit of NEW traffic this month so WELCOME-WELCOME!
I am grateful to have you here.
If you are a long time reader, I hope my journey this month hasn’t been to difficult to wade through.
It’s been nice, writing a little more openly and less about the kids.
I can’t wait to get back to that, don’t get me wrong, but I think Jenni’s blog everyday in may challenge has been a welcome change.
I think it’s opened me up to making my blog about me and about the kids.
Sure, it’s meant to be about them and something to look back on that preserves their childhood, but I imagine they will be grateful to see me open up. They will be grateful to get to know me in a way they don’t need to right now.
They don’t need to see the hardships I’m facing, the deep thoughts I’m feeling.
They just need to be my little boys.
So THANK YOU, readers, for being a sounding board that will listen to things my friends are tired of hearing, or that my husband can’t find a solution to.
Thank you for watching my grow into a better (hopefully) mom every day.
Lastly, please say “hi” sometimes so I know Β you are here. π – AND tell me how you got here.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know I’m here π stumbled upon this gem of a site looking for some answers. My brother from another mother was in a car wreck a little less than three weeks ago.
Your blogs are great and your attitude is F-ing awesome! It would be righteous if more people, including myself, were more like you. Did I go too far? I mean it though π Looking forward to reading more of your blogs
Peace love and warm regards, Bless up!

So, after I surfed your hilarious and awesome and sobering FAQ, I wrote you an email and then started at the most recent and here I am… still here like an hour later! π My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and a handful of other things that don’t let me know what she is thinking and feeling. I just can’t get enough of your side of the story. π
Just throwing this out there, but I’m really big on my kids taking full advantage of having a disabled sister and having it be part of their personality. Do you ever coach your boys on what to say when they are asked certain questions? Or do they ever surprise you by what they say? I am constantly amazed and proud of my kids when they stand up for her or answer the (sometimes stupid) questions people ask. I love that it makes them aware of others and more compassionate, but what I really mean is I’m just relieved to not have the kid that yells insensitive things at people in the grocery store line. Kwim? π

I did get your email. . .:) Thank you for reaching out.
I never coach my boys … I just let them say what they want. π
Most of the times kids are awesome when they see me out and about — it’s the parents that usually annoy me. I’ve written a post or two on the subject π
I’ll check out your blog soon. ((HUGS))
