This is a review post. I was given this dress COMPLETELY free for my honest opinion.
I’ve been foolishly putting off this review. I hate having even the tiniest complaint and my complaint is TEENY tiny and all my fault….
OK…here goes.
I was beyond thrilled when eshakti asked me to pick anything I wanted and modify it to my heart’s content.
I’d seen many other reviews around the blogosphere and I couldn’t be more honored that they wanted ME to play around with one of their beauties.
Here’s what I picked. It looks FAB in the 2nd picture where you can’t see the length.
Dress: C/O E-shakti // earrings: Avon // Shoes: (not pictured)
I absolutely LOVE the print. It looks so “anthro” to me!
But . . . .
Yes, sadly there is a but … but it has NOTHING to do with eshakti and everything to do with me.
I could have and SHOULD have had the dress shortened. I was worried that color block patches at the bottom would have been off so I choice NOT to.
That was a bad decision on my part. I KNEW that a dress this length would NOT flatter my sitting frame.
However, I ADORE the print and the fit was absolutely “like a glove”. I chose to go with a perfectly custom fit. Talk about amazing.
Oh and turn around? Fast. I received my dress less than a week after I ordered it!
E-shakti definitely didn’t disappoint me and if I ever choose to buy from them I will probably email or call them to make modifications that aren’t offered on the order form.

I love that dress. You are right, it totally looks like Anthro. The birds and the colours are lovely.

I’m only a man, so you can disregard my comments without hurt! How about trying to pin the skirt at the back to tighten it over your knees and legs at first to make it more ‘pencil-like’ and take the untidy fullness out of it? If successful you could then taper it permanently with a sewn pleat. Maybe compliment it with some black knee length boots which would also temper the bold long fullness of the skirt.

That’s actually a great idea. Thanks.
