My kids love taco Tuesday. My kids also love cooking shows. That may or may not be my fault. The boys found a love for cooking about 2 months ago and they’ve been taking turns cooking tacos for Taco Tuesday. I think our favorite to date has been Cajun Tacos.
Will, my oldest, made a pork taco. We are calling it a Cajacan Tacos. Cajun/Mexican Taco. Get it?!
The recipe is rather vague, because he just added equal parts to 1.5 pounds of ground meat. He used pork on the ones pictured but you can use turkey, chicken, beef or any combination your little heart desires. If I had to guess it was 1/4 cup./each? You want to make sure you have about the same amount of spices you would use if you were using a taco mix. It’s probably best to start with a little and add more to taste. That’s what he did. Real cooks don’t measure, right?! Ha! 🙂
The spices he used for the Cajun Tacos were:
- Tony Chachere Cajun seasoning
- Chicken Fajita
- Beef Fajita
Lucas made a similar version with Taco Seasoning and Cajun Seasoning. The result was just as delicious!
Do you have a Taco Tuesday in your house?! Do you love tacos as much as we do!? Do your kids cook?

Priscilla, we love taco Tuesdays! My kids love doing their own versions in the kitchen lab. We’ll try using Cajun seasoning.
