Nathn was excited to go to his first swim lesson at Nitro, then reality set in.
The screaming, kicking and NOs started before we ever got in the car. He realized what was up.
This came as a total shock to me because he’s practically trying to jump in during Lucas’s lesson and refuses to get back into the van when it’s time to leave.
I assume this is just part of a toddler multiple personality thing.
I was confident he would change his mind once we got there. I was wrong. That’s when the REAL tantrum and clinginess started.
It just so happened that the station 1 coach didn’t have any other student so he came over to Nathan and my normally friendly child decided that this man was evil.
We tried to get him to get his toes wet. He was not having ANY of it.
LIGHTBULB!!!
I asked if he had any rubber ducks or boats.
SCORE!
The second Nathan saw the boat and hippo he kicked off his boots, BARELY missing the water and started to strip RIGHT THERE!
I managed to scoop him up and convince him to wait until we were in the dressing room. The remainder of the lesson went well!
