Disclosure: I am a SeaWorld Wildside blogger. I receive complimentary passes for my family and other perks throughout the year. All opinions are entirely mine, I promise!
P.S. This year is Sea World’s 50th Anniversary!!!
This past weekend Roa’s Aviary at Seaworld San Antonio had it’s grand opening. Sadly, I had to miss it! I did, however, get a sneak peek at the newest attraction last weekend. It was very cool to see all the nets and the empty pools as they prepared for the 300 beautiful birds that awaited their new home. You will be able to stroll through on the SeaWorld side or float through on the Aquatica side.
I want to be 100% real and share with you a post from someone that ACTUALLY made it to the opening. It’s not fair to pretend I know more about it than I really do! I will reserve my thoughts on Roa’s Aviary until I am able to visit it in person.
After we got a behind the scenes look we headed off in our directions and played in Aquatica most of the day. I think my boys would LIVE in the water if they could.
I was trying to get a picture of just the boys when a lovely lady asked if I wanted to be in the picture, too!! Sure. Why not! 🙂
Oh. It’s just not a trip to Seaworld for our family without a visit to one of the first aide stations. Remember when will got cut on one of the rides? This time he bumped heads with another kid in one of the pools. He got right back in after 10 minutes with an ice pack and a little motrin. We have 2 first aide stations to go!! We can do this!!! (Let’s hope not!)
You can not visit Sea World without visiting Shamu! We arrived with very little time to spare and the boys wanted to be in the Splash Zone so Charlie had to take them to the other side. They were SOAKED and very happy!
