We’ve had a significant amount of rain here in Texas resulting in very green grass and beautiful flowers. It’s definitely Spring and Summer is on it’s way.
It’s time to find light mostly healthy snacks.
We eat a lot of yogurt, specifically stonyfield (Thank you!!) and fruit in our house so why not put them together and make the perfect snack? Today was incredibly busy for us so it was nice to just take a few minutes for something refreshing.
My oldest and I decided we would take two of our favorite fruits and mix them with Stonyfield yogurt, a little honey and some granola. This made the most amazing topping for angel food cake and fantastic mid-day snack!
We intended to spend a little time outside, picnic style but it was nearing 95 degrees. We opted to stay inside.
My oldest thought it was finger lickin’ good and the youngest kept saying “tank you Mommy!”. My middle son … his “who, me?” look explains it all. He would not TOUCH it. He will eat everything separate but put it all together and NO Thanks.
Oh, and Daddy even had the leftovers while I typed up this post. He said it looked yummy and was happy to hear we had some left!
