I guess we can call this one a stereotypical shot. I think EVERY photographer snaps a photo of their reflection in a mirror! This was tricky because I have 3 boys under 10 so I don’t really have what you would call clean mirrors. I found the cleanest spot I could and started snapping away. I hated every one. It looked like I was trying too hard. I chose my first shot. The other 10 went straight into the trash bin. It’s funny how that works isn’t it? My niece did that with her wedding dress a couple of weekends ago. She tried on 10, but picked the 1st one.
I had to really step “outside the box” and out of my comfort zone for this one. I never-rarely share pictures of myself w/o makeup and my hair fixed. I’m very self-conscience. However, I think the biggest point of this challenge is to, well, challenge myself and to leave a record of myself for my boys. This is the me they see more often than the made up version. Messy hair. Black circles. PJs. I did, of course, take the liberty of hiding behind a cup of coffee, becaues this may be for my boys but for now I’m not ready to subject you to the real me.

What a great challenge! I don’t think I have ever had enough courage to post a photo without make-up and my hair done.
