||ONE|| Camping
Last weekend was our Pack’s fall campout and it so happened to be William’s last cubscout campout. He will soon cross over into Boy Scouts. We are still on the fence as to whether he will seek out a Troop now or not. We have quite a bit going on without adding more to the mix. We need to take a few steps back right now and as of right now he thinks he would prefer to let this one go.
||TWO|| Pneumonia
As you may recall, Will missed two days of school last week for a random fever with no other symptoms. His fever finally cleared by Thursday and he went back to school on Friday. Friday he came home coughing but we didn’t think much about it and he went onto his campout. He came home Sunday running a fever again and just miserable. We tried to get a doctor’s appointment but they were booked so we scheduled with his regular pedi the next morning. He immediately knew he had walking pneumonia. The poor kid’s fever spiked that afternoon and it lasted well into the night. It finally dropped to 101 the next day and he slowly started to feel better. Phew!
||THREE|| Burned Noodles
So… a few weeks ago Lucas asked what would happen if we cooked his instant Velveeta Mac and Cheese without water. I told him I assumed it would just burn out and be yucky. Well. We found out. And not on purpose. We were eating dinner. He didn’t like what I served which meant he had to find his own dinner. We generally keep easy stuff on hand and he’s made this dish at least 2 dozen times. I thought nothing of it. I started to smell something burning, but the doorbell rang so we all ran to see who it was (Why do people do this?! one person can answer the door!) I assumed someone turned the oven on and my oven is in SERIOUS need of cleaning. In the minute it took to tell the kid NO we aren’t buying, smoke was POURING out of the microwave. This is what we found. We had to open windows and doors before the smoke detectors went off. My house still smells 3 days later.
||FOUR|| GNO
I met Amy earlier this year. She was paralyzed over 20 years ago and we lead similar lives in regards to our paralysis. It was a lovely night out. We plan to met up more often.
||FIVE|| tea
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I am trying to be healthier. One of the things Charlie and I are doing is drinking teas before bed. All to often we would have a glass of wine. That is not heathy on many levels. I will say this. I look forward to my nightly tea (or 3) far more than I ever did my wine.

Those noodles look awful. But at least it is a funny story.
As for tea, I mentioned in my post yesterday (Holiday Treats) that I love Davidson’s Tea. They have non-caffeinated teas too. Love the red vanilla tea. Just thought I would share a tea favorite.
You story is awesome. I read a bunch of backstory posts and love it. Thanks for sharing.

They did look really gross. Someone on Instagram said works. Blech. I will have to check out that brand. That red vanilla sounds yum.
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading! XOXOX

I’m pretty sure we’ve had similar experiences with burnt noodles. Blech.
Tea is one of my weaknesses. I have so many different tea blends – they’re in the cabinets, drawers, even on little shelves we’ve put up in the kitchen. It’s an addiction!

That noodle story is hilarious! I know how that smells, and it is the worst to get rid of.
I hope Will is feeling better! It is always so scary when they get a fever. I’m glad that the doctors knew what it was and that the fever started to go down.
I am not a tea drinker, do you find that it helps you sleep at night? The bear on the box makes me want to go to bed just looking at it!

Will is all better!! Thankfully.
YES!! It really does help. It’s fairly cheap so give it a try.
