Hi guys! I think Friday Fragments is quickly becoming my favorite series of the week. Make sure you visit my host, Traci!
There is always so much I want to record and post about. There is so much more I used to blog about, years ago, before posts needed to be so SEO friendly for traffic.
This week was fairly uneventful but I do have a few things to share.
- We visited SeaWorld for 4th of July. I go into more details on THAT, later.
- Nathan had his well check on Monday. His pediatrician was already up-to-date on all the happenings. I had filled him in VIA text and the other doctors and hospitals had also filled in my blanks.
- Nathan is growing perfectly. He is 30% percentile on height and 50% on weight. The silly boy was “patching” in the doctors office with stickers. He was cracking us up. The pedi said that was a first.
- My mom and step-dad came to visit this week. They were only here a few hours, but at least my step-dad felt up for the drive. Cancer is really kicking his butt. He finished all of his Chemo/radiation about 2 months ago but he is still feeling it and they can’t do another MRI until it’s entirely out of his system.
- I cleaned out the boys closets yesterday and purged all the things that they either didn’t really like or no longer fit. It’s funny how that always make you feel accomplished!
- We realized earlier this week that we are less than 1000 miles away from hitting 100,000 miles on my van!! Yikes!
- Ummm, I rediscovered NEOPETS and was able to log into my VERY old (12 years) account.
- There were a few other things I was thinking about as I lay in bed last night but now I am COMPLETELY drawing a blank. Figures.
I’m also linking up with a few new blogs I found!

I feel like we’re on the same page, my boys had their wellness visit this past week too (my boys just turned one). And I did a huge clean out of their closet. It does make you feel accomplished. Hope you had a great time at SeaWorld.

First time here (unless I’m having a senior moment and forgot). I clicked over from Traci’s blog. I became a regular Friday Fragmenter (sounds like one of those reenactment groups at times) years ago with Mrs. 4444’s blog. I suspect there will be new group forming now. So many of past fragmenters dropped off months ago. It’s a fun and easy post.
Good you explained your son’s eye patch. I thought he was injured.

I only started fragging when Traci took over so this is probably your first time. 🙂
Welcome!
My son has strabismus and we are trying to strengthen his weaker eye by patching once a day. I post about it in detail a couple of weeks ago if you are curious!

I often draw a blank when working on my posts, too. The thoughts always come at the wrong time.
Glad to hear that Nathan is growing well and I can’t wait to hear more about the July 4th trip.
Thanks for fragging with me!
🙂

This Friday Fragments idea sounds like a great way to share some stuff without writing a full post. Also, your little guy is super cute, even with a bandage over his eye. 😉

HA! We are kindred spirits with completely forgetting what moments I wanted to write about. Happens all the time. Your 4th of July sounded like such fun. Love SeaWorld!!
So sorry your step-dad is still trying to feel like his normal self post-chemo. What a fighter!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for coming on over to H54F! See you again next week! 🙂

Ah! He’s a lovely healthy boy! Mine is in the 9th percentile. 🙁 It’s ok though. I’m being positive. I hope all goes well with your step-dad.

Hi there.
Isn’t closet cleaning so darn satisfying. I’m about to clean out all my kitchen junk. Have a great weekend. And, I hope you write about what you WANT to, not what SEO tells you to do. That’s real freedom.

Oh goodness, your poor stepfather. I had to deal with all of that a few years ago and I always hate to hear people struggling through it. Sending my best to him.
