We just got back from a nine day trip to Vegas. I guess I shouldn’t call it a Vegas vacation. It was far from it.
My brother has been sick with various things since August and he was in the hospital again so we decided we really needed to get my mom there to visit with him. She’s never been on airplane and refuses to get on one so we loaded up the boys and the camper and took off.
It took us three days to get there. We visited for three days and it took us three days to get back.
We had a couple of pleasure stops but not many. I’ll post about those later .
Now if you follow me on social media you know we just got our camper less than a month ago. We had planned to make our first trip a weekend getaway to somewhere local just to help break it in. Life has other plans.
It was exhausting but worth it. It’s definitely a trip the boys will always remember.
The visit with my brother was really good and I think it improved his attitude greatly. I’m going to protect his privacy and not go into to many details but his immediate family has a very long road ahead of them. I only wish I were closer so I could help and Mom desperately wishes she were closer, too. I think getting mom over there to see him was a really important and it did a world of good for both of them.
Whoa!!! These two look JUST alike!
The camper is surprisingly very comfortable and I look forward to many fun trips in the future.
I just wish Vegas weren’t so far away.
I was thinking about being the youngest of nine kids the other day and how I’m going to have to watch all my siblings age the same way I’m watching my parents die and age.
