We had an extremely busy and productive weekend. Saturday morning we had a party at Dave and Busters. Charlie and I hadn’t been there in over 10 years but we still had our 20th anniversary game cards. They no longer worked in the games but we were able to recover our 9000 tickets. The boys had a blast but that place is so expensive!!
We headed to Texadelphia for lunch and then TJ Maxx for a gift for Lucas’s teacher.
We headed back so Charlie could work on fixing a riding lawnmower we got from our neighbor a few months ago.He discovered that mouse had eaten the wiring so won’t it’s been a terribly difficult or expensive to fix.
Lucas and I headed back out so he could pick out his ornament. We also stopped at Ross where I found Will’s teacher a gift.
We headed home and I started getting ready for our MUCH needed anniversary dinner. It’s only a few days late but that’s how you Roll when you have kids! Ha.
I got dressed for dinner and headed next-door for a couple of glasses of wine with my girlfriend while Charlie took the boys to the sitter.
We had an amazing dinner at PF Changs. We always order the same thing: crab wontons, lettuce wraps and beef ala sichuan.
When we are on our way home I got the call that my niece was in labor!! So much excitement. I wish she didn’t live 3.5 hours away!!
She ended up having her sweet boy around three in the morning and everyone was so exhausted they didn’t call. I saw it first thing in the morning on Facebook. He was born Three hours past his due date!! Ha.
We Intended for most of Sunday to to be quiet. At noon we had our neighbor Santa stop bye and after our quick picture we made lunch.
Charlie was just going to work on the lawnmower a little more and then we are going to get haircuts and go to the grocery store after he got the camper put away!
Unfortunately it rained Saturday night and he couldn’t get it where it needed to go. Around 4 o’clock we decided it was not going to happen so we made the trip Shiner to drop it off at my moms.
We only stayed for about 15 minutes because it was already 6:30 and we needed to get the kids fed and home.
Not to mention how horrible my stepdad Is feeling after his surgery on Thursday. Extremely worn out and weak.
We stopped to eat and I unexpectedly ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in 17 years. It was Good to see him. He just experienced a loss so it was nice to be able to hug him and tell him I was so sorry and person.
Luckily The kids went to bed easily when we got home.
Oh and now I am researching essential oils….Just FYI. 😉
