A few weeks back I mentioned that we ordered the new Chrysler Pacifica.
We chose to do a custom order so I could get the exact exterior and interior colors I wanted. I chose tusk white with the mocha interior.
I was beyond excited and couldn’t wait for her to arrive. Just for fun, I wanted to see the van in my color again, so I was browsing the Chrysler website and the color was gone. So were the other two choices that completed my top three.
We called the dealership and he spoke with his manager and we were informed they probably were not going to be producing the van and those colors.
So the van I had on order? Probably not happening.
We went to look at several other colors and when we saw the cordovan we instantly fell in love. Yes it was dark, but the way it sparkled in the sun was amazing!
Introducing… Pearl!
Now, You’re probably wondering how the heck a car that is nearly Black gets the name Pearl!
Well, we wanted to play off of the Pacifica and go with something in the Pacific ocean. Our anniversary is December 7. Pearl Harbor is in the Pacific Ocean. William is a big Pacific War history buff… So Pearl seemed fitting. And there is such a thing as black pearls.
Sidenote: I found a purse that matches the van almost perfectly. I Did not seek it out – it was just in there, so I had to buy it!

Congrats on the new vehicle! It sure looks nice. Four cars back, we leased a Chrysler Town and Country in a champagne colour. I think it was a 2000 year model, but it kept getting stuck in the snow – guess that isn’t a problem where you all live. Lots of room for the whole family. Was the dealer able to do the adaptations?

They paid for them, yes. They did not put the hand controls on, another company did. I don’t need other adaptations. 🙂
