We had an extremely lazy weekend. We went to the park, but couldn’t stay long. The temps alone weren’t very cold but the wind was crazy, making it much colder.
We also ate free chick-fil-a. What’s that you say!? FREE??? How?!
Last month our local store ran a special receipt day. If you kept your receipt from that day you were allowed to reuse it ONE TIME in the new year and get everything again.
We finally watched the movie Max. It’s about the Marine dog that loses his owner in action and the soldier’s family takes him in. We all highly recommend it!
On a negative note, my leg hurt all weekend. I get this awful nerve pain in my left thigh. It usually once a day. This weekend it was hurting non-stop.
We also did not win the lottery. Boo. I guess that means my husband has to keep going into the office and we will not be traveling the world or opening businesses. Charlie plans to try again on Wednesday. I will say that if we DO win, no one will EVER be able to top THAT birthday present!
I did somehow manage to plan our meals for the week. YAY for instacart! I loathe that chore. My kids are not adventurous so we are in a terrible rut. Someone please make it stop!! You would think for Mom’s birthday everyone would be willing to eat new things, but no……
We wrapped up the weekend with some outside play, fence repair (um, Charlie, not me!) and family WiiU night.
What will you do if you win the power ball this week?!
Barbara Kane says
If we win, we need to put a chunk aside for our son to finish college and grad school! Then, our house needs a bathroom redo to make it wheelchair accessible. We also need the SmartDrive power assist for my chair. Then to have more fun in Texas!

I figured with the odds on PowerBall, I’d stick with LottoMax in Canada. I think I could live very well on $44,000,000. Do you use a slow-cooker? Great invention! Pork tenderloin this week. Sorry about the nerve pain in your thigh 🙁 What causes it?
Priscilla says
I do have a slow cooker, but I only use it 4-5 times a year. I much prefer to ACTUALLY cook. It’s not cooking that’s the problem but getting my kids to try new things.
