New journey (ignore my Instagram hashtags!)
I’m taking a giant, scary leap so I will #committofit – i’ve put on 10 to 15 pounds in the last two years and I’m just not happy in my own skin. I’m soft and not toned, even a little. Honestly, this wouldn’t be so bad if didn’t have so many #neurofibromatosis #nf1 tumors. Sadly no matter how #buff and #toned I get these will still be there. I found a vintage #wheelchair #aerobics video that I’m going to try three times a week and there are some fantastic #armtoning #Zumba workouts available. My arms are strong but there’s absolutely no definition to them .. Let’s see how this goes. #accountability – oh. I also weigh 126. I’m 5’4.5″
In addition to working out at home I am pricing out local #gyms for some #weighttraining and a #scifit – basically a stationary hand cycle.
I will do my best to drink more water and work on getting my nutrition on track. I will continue drinking #shakeology once a day. My waist is currently reading at 31 inches. My right arm is 13.25 and my left arm is 13.5.

We are who we are. Paralysis, tumors, skin lesions, scars. Makes no difference. We love and are loved.
I had an aerobics tape called Lisa Erickson’s Seated Aerobics Workout. It was a classic. (Alas, it broke.) For me, getting around to it is harder than actually doing it.

I really love this post about exercising. It’s so hard, & I know its necessary. I found your post & pictures very encouraging & inspiring. Thanks for telling about your exercise. I just saw & tried that workout George mentioned on you tube last week.

Well said, Julie. Exactly. We try, and that is half the battle.

That’s the one I did on YouTube. It’s quite fantastic.

I did not know it was available anywhere. Thanks for the info. I could never do the entire workout because of my MS fatigue, but exercising helps with that. Sounds strange, but that is how MS works. For the T10 SCI part of me, it helped core and aerobics.
