I was 18 years (and almost 8 months) old when I was paralyzed.
Today will mark the 18th anniversary.
It’s crazy to think that I have lived almost as long sitting down as I I did walking.
I’ve spent most more than 16 of those 18 years with Charlie, and we have a built an incredible, beautiful life with our three healthy boys. I’m truly the happiest I’ve ever been and I couldn’t ask for more.
Yes, sometimes it sucks to have to sit all the time, not to mention all the other stuff you don’t need to know about that comes in #Paralysis , but I’m alive and We are all healthy.
Life hasn’t always been easy but that’s the case for every single person I know, able-bodied or not.
Anyways here’s a picture my friend Sarah took just a few days before everything changed.

Your life and blog are so inspiring! I keep coming back for my dose of motivation. I am sure you must be having your moments of despair and sadness but you overcome with your positivity, putting things in perspective, and a firm belief in living and enjoying life, which is infectious!
