Nathan has fallen asleep before dinner a few times lately. That’s not our usual routine but we just go with it. He rarely naps so I assume if he’s falling asleep that’s more important than dinner. Besides, he’s a snacker and not usually hungry anways. (hush!!)
Bedtime is not always smooth but once the kids are down – they are usually down for the night. We have little routines with each child and assuming we do these, things go well.
Lucas loves his story and a fresh cup of ice water. Nathan insists on a bath almost every single night, only sometimes wants a story and he likes a fresh cup of ice water too. Again hush.
Children thrive on routine, Even when we were camping, if we did these little things the kids went to bed.
When our oldest son was about two years old we could not leave his room until he was completely out. He still gives us more trouble than the other two. The reasons are drastically different now. He think He’s the oldest so he should be able to stay later.
While we agree with this, we want him to do it in his room so his brothers are not distracted by his presence. He uses this time to read and finish up his homework.
