When we visited Camp Mabry a few weekends ago, my boys just had to stop and talk to the men with all the fabulous WWII relics. They even let the boys play. The helmet was so heavy you can really tell if you follow the progression of Nathan’s pictures.
Lucas did quite a bit better and regained his balance much more quickly. Well, he never actually lost his balance!
Will and Charlie went on a hunt for Charlie’s Grandfather’s Navy helmet and they found it. He served in WWII, but never talked much about it. We are very grateful to have this little piece of our family’s history. It is now sitting on a high shelf in Will’s room.
The cuteness!!!!!!
Love those boys!

It look like they had an amazing time. I had a great time as an adult attending something like this where I got to learn more about military vehicles.

We have a park nearby that is full of WWII tanks – I know my little guy will enjoy checking it out when he gets a bit older. I have a photo album of my grandpa’s from the war, so I know what a special family token it is for your guys to have the helmet.
What a great memory! Glad you were able to document this day. Love that helmet!
