I’ve decided that weekend wrap-ups AND Friday fragments are a bit much, unless we’ve been incredibly busy.
I’ll really hate blogging on a schedule, I know the “experts” says its best but I really don’t care. I will still blog on Monday and/or Friday so don’t worry!!
I don’t write to please the experts. I write to please myself and (hopefully) please my readers.
This weekend was pretty jammed packed with parties. My blogging BFF and her family stayed with us Friday night. They had izzi’s party on Saturday at pump it up!
We then had the Blue & Gold banquet. On Saturday! It was a Star Wars theme. Took charge of organizing this year really did fantastic job. We have some amazing new parents in our pack that are really taking charge and taking over responsibilities. I’m kind of like the new mom again with my youngest only being a wolf and I don’t mind just sitting back and watching!
The boys were thrilled to pose with the storm troopers!
Sunday morning we had a brunch party with Mimosas!! That’s my kind of party! Heheh! I only recently met this couple but I absolutely adore them and my husband gets along with them as well! Win-win!
You don’t have any pictures from the party but I did learn about a new brand of scotch for Charlie and asked to try soon. This one’s much lighter and not his Peety, so it should be one that I like quite a bit. Obviously I didn’t try it on a Sunday morning. I also learned that sometimes adding a small shot of water (think 2/2 of a medicine syringe) can open up the molecules in the scotch and make the flavors More intense, instead of watering it down. Thank you for that information Rose!
There’s not much to say about last, it was pretty typical. Taekwondo, hyper, co-op. The usual!
I think we can officially say that what little winter we had is officially over.
How’s the weather where you live? Are you itching for some spring weather? Or are you worried, like me, that summer is going to be miserable given the 80°, almost 90° days we’ve already had?
Jim says
Yes, we are very anxious for Spring to arrive. Winter hasn’t been too bad – only about 10 or 12 days in the minus 30 range, and only about 18 inches of snow. Last March 14th, we were outside in +14C (55 degrees F) in spring clothes assembling a potting table. I can’t imagine living in a place where it is 85 degrees F in “mid-winter”. I somewhat prefer having 4 distinct seasons ranging from minus 30 in winter to plus 90 in summer. We are starting to do our research of looking at all the garden centres for the newest flower annuals to buy this year. We plant 107 containers of flowers plus we do have some perennials in the ground. Container gardening is so much easier! Do you do any gardening?
Priscilla says
I don’t! I’ve done a little in the past and never found it the least bit relaxing 🙁
Jim says
Well, maybe when your children get a lil older and you have some spare time. Its not all that relaxing as we have daily pruning and sometimes twice-daily waterings. I’m not sure how you find time to sleep with your very busy days. In Texas, you must be able to grow some real interesting flowers – here we can only grow Zone 2 to 3 plants, although we do cheat with some 5’s and 6’s and just try to watch the frost warnings more diligently.
